Two years experience as FNP or PA preferably in a family healthcare clinic. Graduate of approved Physician Assistant program and current NCCPA certification by the State of Georgia or BSN degree, current license as a Registered Nurse in State of Georgia and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or eligible certification.

The salary can't be beat for an area which has a 2008 cost of living index 80.6 (low, U.S. average is 100). You could actually save money in this economy living here!

Oncology Nurse Practitioner

Responsible for management of the clinic. Utilizes effective strategies in developing supervising and evaluating work processes resource consumption and outcomes. The NP Manager plays a major role in the development of personnel compliance with regulatory and professional standards and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the areas of responsibility and the institution as a whole. Works in a collaborative manner with the staff of all Medical Center entities and with members of the Medical Staff. Reports to the Director of Oncology. In an Advanced Practice Nursing role the Oncology Nurse Practitioner works both autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of health care providers to diagnose and manage the health care problems of both inpatients and outpatients with the diagnosis of cancer and HIV. APRN Licensure advanced preparation as a nurse practitioner with a minimum of one year Advanced Practice Nursing desired. Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of human relations group dynamics change management and quality improvement techniques. Knowledge of management techniques methods theories and principles. Previous experience in a management or supervisory position is desirable. Experience in Palliative Care Preferred.
